My Design Philosophy
To me, design isn't just about making things look good it's about making things work for everyone, including those often left behind.
I believe that accessible design isn't a nice-to-have; it's a necessity. Every design decision should be intentional, informed by research, and tested with real people. And yes, personality matters. Design should feel warm, approachable, and thoughtful.

My Design Process
My process varies depending on the project. Some come with clear specs, others begin with just a rough idea. I usually follow design thinking as a foundation, but I stay flexible and adjust my approach based on what the project needs.
I typically start by understanding the user. The first question I ask is, “Who are our users?” If I can talk directly to them, I do. Then I define the problem, brainstorm possible solutions, create quick prototypes, and test early. I start by sketching ideas to explore different directions and gather feedback early.
Collaboration is a core part of my process. I bring in engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other key teammates from the beginning. Getting their input early saves time, avoids costly rework, and helps us ship better products, faster.

Community & Volunteering
Moments from my time with UXPA
At UXPA, I volunteered my time to grow and strengthen the student design community. From organizing resume reviews and portfoliothons to running bake sales that raised funds for events, I helped create spaces where aspiring designers could learn, connect, and showcase their work.
I also designed event materials, managed social content, and collaborated with peers to make design more accessible to everyone on campus. These experiences taught me how meaningful design can be not just in products, but in building communities.

My love language is baking especially banana bread. It's how I say sorry, celebrate, or turn a rough day sweeter.
